
Join us in the bee yard for part 3 of the BK101 series!
This event is open to both our BK101 students & club members, to participate JOIN HERE.
Please note that in order to participate, you must have your own beekeeping protective gear & sign THIS WAIVER.
Participants will learn:

Parts of a beehive, including the frames, honey supers, & brood boxes.

The different stages of bee development, from eggs to larvae to adult bees, & the role each type of bee plays in the hive.

How to inspect a hive for signs of disease, pests, & overall hive health.
-
How to properly handle frames & manipulate the bees without harming them.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions & get personalized guidance from the instructor.

Important to Remember:
Consider lifting capacity- A 10-frame deep Langstroth box can weigh up to 100 lbs when full of bees, honey, & wax, a 10-frame medium up to 70 lbs.
